Collaboration with Industry

During the involvement with the procurement of the Cray Y-MP EL an area of mutual interest was recognised between some of the software environment work taking place in the Centre in conjunction with the Computer science Department and some of the systems development work within Cray. As a result Cray and the Industrial Development Board for Northern Ireland have jointly funded a project to develop an Integrated Performance Support System aimed at Cray supercomputers.
